Cort Huffman is a lifelong and multi-generational resident of Shelbyville and Bedford County. He and Angi have raised their two children, Gage and Zoe, together and have passed on their love for the area to them.

He is a 1989 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School. He earned his Associate of Science degree from Motlow State Community College in 1995, his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree from MTSU in 1997, his Master of Education from MTSU in 1999, and his Educational Specialist degree in 2001.

Cort has always been very active in the community. He is currently a member of the Shelbyville Lions Club, is on the board of the Bedford Cancer Foundation and is on the Association Board for The Celebration in Shelbyville. Along with those, he was on the board for Relay for Life and was very active in the Jaycees for many years. Cort has coached many different sports and ages, everything from K league soccer to high school baseball and golf.

Cort has worked as a teacher and administrator in Shelbyville for over 25 years. He was also a small business owner for 23 years, helping the community with his business, Cort's Tents. Cort continues to work as an educator but has worked to expand his skillset into real estate for over 10 years. Cort has dedicated his life to helping people from all walks of life. He takes pride in making sure that people are informed and tries to ensure that everyone has fun while they learn.
